Dr Wolf Martinick, (PhD, BSc Agric), Chairman Dr Martinick is an environmental scientist with more than 35 years experience in the resources industry. He has been involved with mineral exploration and mining projects around the world.
Mr Garry Korte, (B.Comm C.A A.C.M.A) Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer Mr Korte’s experience includes holding the position of CFO for a mining and materials handing contractor for 7 years as well as 3 years working as a corporate finance executive for a merchant bank specializing in the mining sector. Most recently he was general manager commercial for Brambles Industrial Services responsible for negotiating major mining and transport contracts and developing business growth proposals for board approval.
Mr Ricardo Leiman, Non Executive Director Mr Leiman holds MBAs from the University of Rochester (USA) and the University of Nyenrode (Netherlands) as well as an economics degree from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). He has held positions with Credit Lyonnais Bank (Brazil), Louis Dreyfus (Brazil), Eximcoop (Netherlands), Trader Classified Media (London and Paris) and Noble. Mr Phillip Laskaris, Non Executive Director Appointed as a Non-Executive Director on 20 March, 2008 Mr. Laskaris holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University. Mr. Laskaris is a barrister practicing from Francis Burt Chambers in Perth. He started his legal career in 1987 in Fremantle, WA with a mid-sized law firm becoming a partner in 1989 and then principal of the firm in 1996. He joined the independent bar in 2002. He is on the roll in the High Court of Australia, the WA Supreme Court and the NSW Supreme Court. Mr. Laskaris does not hold any other public company directorships. Mr Nicholas Morland, Non Executive Director Nicholas Morland is a London based Chartered Accountant involved in investing in, and the management of, a worldwide portfolio. This portfolio is privately owned and has an emphasis on commodities. Previous roles have concentrated on situations where change management, new business planning and capital raising have been involved. These include as CEO of MIM, an insurance start up, Group Underwriting Deputy with Alea, General Manager Europe Portfolio Enginerring with QBE and Group Opertions Director at Hiscox. Mr Matthew Lilly, (LLB) Company Secretary / Legal Counsel Mr Lilly gained his legal training at Parker & Parker before serving for seven years with Alcoa as corporate solicitor and company secretary. He was also commercial manager and company secretary for a privately-owned group with a range of responsibilities including legal counsel, compliance with banking covenants, insurance management, corporate affairs, strategy, business restructure, business acquisition and divestment. |
